Beyond the horizon, crossing the Río de la Plata... beyond the south of America... my imagination takes flight. Crossing an entire continent, my cosmonaut’s vision sees you in insular America—Central America. In the heart of the great caiman, you’re there on the shore, with my brother and my old man. I say goodbye, and a hopeful see you later. Life is still a long journey.
See you soon, mom. Take care of yourself, and wait for me someday.
To my mother... today she asked me for a specific painting: a mother with her child, looking at her other child who lives far away.
From Quilmes... I’m doing well. I’ve become a brewer and a fan of El Capitán del Espacio.
As I draw, I’m already thinking about her painting.
I’m not ready to return yet... but someday, that distance will shrink—with a hug.
